Watkins
Pure Spices
Did you
ever think that spices are - well - spices? By that I mean do you think that all brands
are alike? I used to think that way. Watkins pure spices changed my mind. I've been doing the Watkins Cinnamon
Taste Test at Watkins
Good Tastings Parties for years now and I've never had someone tell me they thought that
the other brand tasted better. Most people are absolutely surprised to find that Watkins really does
taste better. It's sweeter and has a fuller taste when compared to national brands. When
compared to the "99 cent" stuff, it makes the cheap brand taste like dirt.
Watkins Cinnamon is
so sweet you can put it on toast with no sugar and it tastes wonderful. This is a fabulous
benefit to diabetics. In addition the health benefits of using just 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon
helps control blood sugar, cholesterol and more.
Here's what I've learned about spices. The
flavor in the spice comes from the oil content. The oil content must be just right or the
spice will have inferior taste. Watkins tests every shipment of spice for oil content and
will reject the shipment if it does not come up to their standards. Where do you think
that rejected spice goes? You know it doesn't get thrown away. Some other company buys it
to manufacture inferior spices.
Something else I learned is that the
government allows a certain percentage of fillers in spices. Fillers like twigs, leaves
& bug parts. Yuck! If your spice does not say pure it can contain fillers. By law
spices labeled pure may not have any fillers. Watkins spices are
all pure with no fillers.
Isn't it about time that you made the switch
